Google AdSense Text vs. Image Ads. Which one is profitable?

While generating script for Google AdSense Ad Unit the default option is Text and Image Ads. Other two options are Text ads only and Image ads only.

Which option is more profitable for your website?

You may think of Image Ads or the default one. Image ads look good but they are *not* profitable. Generally people don’t click on them as they know they are ads. If you look into any media you will find that all media are full of ads and generally people don’t like them.

Why text Ads is more profitable?

Though it entirely depend on how you place them but if you can blend them with your website content then your visitors may click on them assuming that they are website content. To experiment you can create separate channels for image and text ads and compare the revenue generated out of them.

If you are new to Google AdSense then don’t think so much just start using text ads only. Also some time image ads are profitable if they are placed in proper location.

I personally think Google should pay website owner for displaying image ads. For image ads there shouldn’t be any calculation like pay per click as image ads work well even if the users don’t click on them.

What do you think? Please share your thought.

Umm,it really depends on the user,i say both because they both attract the same attention and it depends on what user interest is,lets say im interested in games but if the ads are about keys then i wont click.
