Good news for Indians: Mobile tarrifs set to fall big time

Mobile tariffs in India are already among the lowest in the world. There is good news for cellphone users. Mobile tariffs are set to fall as a result of new players' entry in this space. They are likely to fall by as much as 50 per cent when new players start operations after getting spectrum.

The implementation of new norms such as usage of dual technology, number portability and allocation of spectrum to new players are going to bring in a tough competition among the telecom operators leading to further benefits to customers.

It's really good news for telephone users as we would be getting more options also. Now if we use Airtel and ask Airtel to stop automated call then they say they can only do it for post paid but for pre paid users they can't stop these automated junk calls from Airtel. When there is permission based marketing then why Airtel is doing this with out our permission?
