AxtaWeb is launching a first of its kind hosted, offsite backup service designed specifically for Joomla! websites. It installs as a standard Joomla! component but stores all of the backups offsite in our Tier 1 datacenters (powered by the Amazon S3 service and Rackspace Managed hosting). With our service, you can run a backup at any time or simply set it to run automatically. Site backups and restores are simple to run - just two clicks! If you're managing more than one site, our service can be even more of a time saver. From our portal, you can manage and track your backups for up to 60 sites on one account. BONUS: Anyone using our backup service also can take advantage of another unique service we are launching - our "Sandbox" service. Each site that is backed up through our service gets a free "Sandbox" area or development site where you can test out new extensions or just experiment in general on a copy of your live site. If you don't like your changes, you can reload your site back to your most recent backup with just a couple of clicks. We use this service ourselves on a daily basic to test out changes to existing sites without accidentally impacting the live site.
