India’s real-estate market runs on speculation. In one thread I wrote that I have seen 200% increase in price in Hyderabad but I haven’t seen even 100% improvement in infrastructure in those areas. People Say you will find lots of thing happening in those areas but I have been waiting for than for last seven years. Take one example, I have seen areas near by cyber tower in 2000 and I am seeing now. What’s the difference? People still need to go to Pujagutta for a shopping mall or multiplex.

In 2007 if you are thinking of investing money in real-estate then it may not be a good idea for cities like Hyderabad as it has reached the pick. You may consider some small cities where the prices are still low.

Before you invest please consider Wealth Tax & Income Tax.

If you own more than one residential home than it is liable to wealth tax. Wealth tax is charged if your net wealth crosses Rs 15 lakhs. Wealth includes car, jewellery, more than one residential home and many other assets. if the second residential house has been given on rent for more than 300 days in a financial year, then you are not liable to pay the wealth tax. Also you are need to pay income tax on the rent they you receive from your second home.

As the real estate prices have reached rock bottom one can now consider investing in Hyderabad.
