I am using a Tata indicom broadband connection. It’s good. I don’t have any idea about other connections as I am happy with my existing connection.

It’s a 2MPS connection with 2GB FREE download. I pay 750/- per month. The problem with Tata Indicom is they takes lot of time to shift the connection to new location. Some they say port is not available and the connection can’t be shifted. They are famous in India and they should handle this more efficiently. This happened to some my friends and they moved to Sify / Airtel and local cable network.

From friend’s feedback Sify is not good. I haven’t tried it. People told BSNL takes lot of time to install so you need to wait.

I'm currently a Hathway user looking around some other ISPs. The speeds are damn low. When you have a problem you have to call them a no. of times before you get any response from them. The last 2 months have been the worst for me. I spent over Rs450 in telephone charges in talking to hathway! And no- I didnt have a tech support guy helping me over the phone. I kept calling them because I was not getting any response to my problems. Everytime I called I was tossed around (transferred) from 1 guy to another. No matter what i said i could never get the same person twice...Each and eveytime a new person used to finally assure me 'sir- aaj shaam tak pucca koi aapke ghar aayega'

What do you think about hatchway?

If you go for Airtel then you need get their land phone. They say it comes at free of cost. Need to pay if you use for outgoing call. Have you ever used Airtel broadband? How is the speed? They have 2MBPS connection but I think the actual speed would be much lower.

How about local cable network? Are they good?

All are same. It's really tough to find out a connection which doesn't have any issues. I really have bad experience with   Tata indicom. Some time their call centre people doesn't behave properly. Let me start a new thread on these big players like Tata Indicom, Reliance, Airtel etc.
